TO MR MATTHEW BARDE, MY TEACHER
Dear Sir,
My gratitude should have been in
an official letter format, just that you were my friend and that broke the sea
of formality thereby creating a bridge of friendship.
The hardest thing in life is to
teach a child to believe in what he does not know, that’s exactly what you did
to me, I can never pay you back. Though you owe a vacation around the world, I
will fulfill that in the nearest future.
For the meantime, thank you for
teaching me how to read and write, for guiding me to distinguish between what
is wrong and what is right. For allowing me to dream and soar as a kite, thank
you for being my friend, mentor and light.
Yours Student,
Lengdung Tungchamma
