POEM FOR NABEEL QURESHI

He left the stage at 34, one year older than our Lord when He was on earth
His life was turbulent,
When he had left darkness, the swords of darkness hunted him
He became a hunted fugitive,
Hunted because he was a betrayer of darkness
Living in the light was strange, peace and chaos visited him
He stayed.
He never looked back, he challenged the darkness that he knew
They struck, they pointed hands, they judged him and God let him face it
He stood with the band of rejected “salt of the earth”
In his race away from darkness, he learnt a lot
A lot that many like me wanted to hear
His last act was most glorious
In the strive of darkness and the shade of evil, he was rebaptized into the fellowship that he had believed
He belonged to the class of men called successful for he was a Dr.
His name was written side by side with such ones as Ravi Zacharias, Lee Strobel
The aged celebrated him, the young enjoyed him and the faith accepted him
Much will be said about him, history will seek to understand his story
Conspiracy theories will arise, thousands will refer to him
But most of all he will be remembered as the man that “was seeking Allah” but “found Jesus”.
He is gone, but his life is still with us!
His words are in our bookshelves, in our hearts and in our lives!
Safe Journey Nabeel, we are coming soon…….
Sooner than you think.
Your kind of death make us hungry to go home….
One giant heart has been added to the list of Generals!

God’s Generals!
