Nigeria, Tragedy of The Past Week

The National, not just the Christian, response to the massacre on Plateau is unsatisfactory and appealing. While this has sealed the hopelessness of a Buhari or a Lalong vote from me, it is a myopic thing to measure this in terms of APC and PDP or 2019. This is not a repraisal attack! I repeat, this is not a repraisal attack! And this is not ENTIRELY a religious war, it is much more! It bears the imprints of politics, ignorance, cannibalism and madness.

There is no way, no possible way to rationalize a single thing from this!

I am sad, pained and angered.
And I deeply feel the the sadness in the air and in the lives of the immediate-loved ones who are left on earth to mourn!

However, our response cannot be the one presented on social media and in conversations.
Folks, we cannot be demanding for revenge! We can only seek justice. Justice seems far, but folks, its the only way we can assure a future for our children and great grand children!
If we go on with attacks, none of us will be here in the end to celebrate the victory. The best way to win is to get peace. And peace is not impossible! It is achievable. We can live without killing each other.

I want a future, you all want one, in the interest of the common future we seek, we should seek justice and not revenge!

This is a difficult position, I do not find solace in standing on this side, but I can tell you, it is the only HOPE WE HAVE.
My conscience compels me and my faith commands me!
Revenge isn't the answer! It has never been.

And if you are truly Christian, you will already be on your knees praying for each of the attackers!
