Faeroe Islands has 187 corona Virus cases; they’ve had 187 recoveries. 0 deaths.

Gibraltar has 146 Corona Virus cases; they’ve had 142 recoveries. 0 deaths.

Central African Republic has had 143 Corona Virus cases; they’ve had 10 recoveries. 0 deaths.

Cambodia has had 140 Corona Virus cases; they’ve had 120 recoveries. 0 deaths.

Rwanda and South Sudan has had 116 and 120 cases respectively; few recoveries and 0 deaths.

Mozambique, Macao, Eritrea, Timor Leste, Fiji, St. Vincent, Saint Lucia, Namibia, Dominica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Vatican City, Seychelles, Papua New Guinea, Western Sahara, Saint Pierre Miquelon and Anguilla. 15 countries have all had coronavirus cases and 0 deaths.

Having 0 deaths is nothing exclusive to Madagascar. And having the recovery rates that Madagascar has is nothing strange. Other countries have a better recovery than even The country with the Wonder Drug.

And in comparison, to having complete recoveries, Madagascar has had 193 cases and 101 recoveries. That’s a 52% recovery rate. Some countries have had 100%.

The point is this, as researchers, looks for evidence and follow it. Don’t ignore Madagascar. In fact, seek to understand what’s going on there, try their drug too. But the attention they’ve received is overrated and undue.

While the Madagascar drug might be the solution, at the moment the data we have does not prove that. When you want your product to be used worldwide, it has to be proved to be effective worldwide. And whatever your invention, it has to go through the format of agreed standards. Once your drug has been tried by hundreds of thousands of people and verified to be working, only then can you call for approval. It is only then that we can say that the West is playing the “African” thing. For now, there’s no evidence for this. It is a good thing that African countries are currently trying to get drugs and use them in their countries. What they need to do now is to follow it with data, with statistics. How many people are using these drugs? How many of those people are recovering? When we have this data and it is convincing that the Madagascar drug is effectively working, none of us should even care what the west thinks. And I doubt if the west will be stupid enough to deny evidence such as that, they deny it at their peril.

And some of you here don’t know, my dad makes herbal medicine. I was born into them, raised with them, and still, use them. I’ve never been to the hospital because I was sick. He has treated me all my life – the child of the doctor does not fall sick. (Laughing). Even if he does, the doctor will use all the herbs in the forest to cure him. (Still laughing).

I shared with him the information about what’s happening in Madagascar, we’ve done some research on the combinations for the drug, we are still doing more with him. And I’m hopeful that this will turn out well. More than most of you, I’m interested in this drug because I know it may profit my dad. But I’m not blind, I’m a rational being. I follow the evidence. I ask questions. Especially when it involves human lives, I will prefer to be more careful.
